Federico and Ludo fundraiser at Copenhagen Marathon

My name is Ludovic, I’m French and I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2004, at the age of 22.

I have been an active member of l’Odyssée de l’Espoir (the Journey of Hope) since 2013. This French organization has been created in 2001 to promote sharing and solidarity against MS. It brings together valid and non-valid persons around friendliness and well-being and provides information about the disease.

Every July, a unique peloton gathers for one week on a very special ‘Tour de France’. Composed of conventional and alternative bikes (recumbents, hand-cycles, adapted bike trailers) the group of valid and non-valid cyclists engage hand in hand in a journey of 250 to 400 km to discover a region of France or a neighboring country.

I’m Federico, I’m Italian and I’m 34.

Last summer, I had the opportunity to take part to L’Odyssée de l’Espoir’s annual tour. I had a lot of fun, gained awareness on MS and have met Ludo with whom I got very friendly. At the time both of us lived in France, but now I have moved to Copenhagen with my partner. We decided we wouldn’t stop our adventures and we have been trying to organize something exciting. Being a jogger and occasional triathlete, I challenged him to train for the Telenor Copenhagen Marathon.

Of course, Ludo accepted right away and on his side he will train to pedal with his hands and to be sat in the same position for a long time. In Copenhagen, I am planning on training both with Sparta team for their knowledge in running and with Team Tvilling for their unique experience.

The participation to the Telenor Copenhagen Marathon is a new chance to prove that with a good friend, everything becomes possible.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
